Let's start with Article 2 of EU Regulation no. 1321/2014 which describes that maintenance is a combination of the following operations or just one of them: "overhaul, repair, inspection, replacement, modification or defects correction in an aircraft or its component, except for pre-flight inspection. Any person or company in charge of maintenance will be responsible for the interventions performed ".
Besides, it is the "Maintenance" table that illustrates the forecasts of part M regarding the person who can carry out and approve the maintenance on the aircraft and its components concerning the classification of the aircraft itself and the type of use.

IATS Group, a company certified by ENAC Part 145 concerning C20 structural components, for components other than complete engines or APU, is also included among the MRO.
